About CryoPlus Inc.

Improve performance and increase the life up to 400% of metal cutting tools, blades, knives, stamping dies, shears, punches and even your engine components with cryogenic processing. The process of deep cryogenic freezing makes the internal structure more uniform, durable and stronger. Cryo processing increases abrasive wear resistance, raises the tensile strength and decreases brittleness with only one permanent treatment. It creates a denser molecular structure and closes the grains structure, resulting in a larger contact surface area that reduces friction, heat and wear. Unlike coatings, cryogenic treatment changes the entire structure, not just the surface. Subsequent refinishing or regrinding operations don’t affect the permanent improvements of the processing. When the cryo treated tool does wear, the degree of wear reportedly is less severe, slower and more uniform. Therefore, less material must be removed to re-sharpen it.

DMP CryoSystems

When DMP CryoSystems incorporated almost 2 decades ago, the term "cryogenic freezing" synonymous with, and inappropriately applied to dry ice freezing. Sometimes called shallow cryogenics, it is still generally performed in a homemade “cold box”. Since then, as the industry has acknowledged the... Read More
