DANTE, a product owned by Deformation COntrol Technology, Inc., is a set of compiled subroutines that interface with the ABAQUS/STANDARD finite element solver from ABAQUS, Inc., Pawtucket, RI. DANTE includes a database for steel alloys that covers the most commonly used carburizing and through-hardening carbon and alloy steels. DANTE is used to predict the dimensional change, residual stress, hardness distribution and metallurgical phase fractions in quench hardened components. Process capabilities include, gas and low pressure carburization, furnace heating, immersion quenching in oil, water, polymer or salt media, air and fan cooling, high pressure gas quenching, and spray quenching.
DCT also has a suite of utility software tools for carburization cycle design, case hardness profile prediction, TTT and CCT generation, and Jominy hardness prediction.
