The use of induction heating equipment for through-hardening applications provides a number of advantages over the traditional furnace hardening process. These advantages include reduced scale formation, little or no decarburization, better part quality, reduction in the need for protective atmospheres, better working conditions, seamless integration of induction processing equipment in a manufacturing production line and adaptability to modern automated handling systems.
