Thermo Transfer manufactures a complete line of endothermic generators. The size of the unit varies from 250 SCFH to 9,000 SCFH. Endothermic gas is produced by a reaction of air and a fuel gas (natural gas, propane or butane) at high temperature. The reaction itself is endothermic as it requires an external heat to maintain the temperature necessary for the reaction. This external heat can be electric or gaseous fuel. Typically, the gas produced contains approximately 40% Hydrogen, 20% Carbon monoxide, 0.5% methane and 39.5 % Nitrogen. The dew point of the generated gas is usually 30° F to 35° F and can be varied between 0° F to 35° F.
FEATURES:
- Heated reaction retort with catalyst (Electric or gas fired)
- Air-gas proportioning control components
- Ratio control using a dew point analyzer
- Regenerative blower to mix air-gas through the retort
- Air and gas mass flowmeters for accurate readings
- Air cooled heat exchanger to cool the hot gases
- Fire check valve to prevent backfire in the fuel supply line
- Burn-off vent to combust excess gas produced
- Thermocouples (control, over-temperature, recording) and control instrumentation
